MADMUC summer party 2006

Our delayed party (from last year) was a BANG! Lots of food and games.

The Potluck yielded the following gourmet dishes: Biryani, Pakoray with Riata, Shrimp Ring with Dip, a Blast from the Past with tomatoes and onions, Tarator (Bulgarian for Tzatziki), Humus, Five Phoenix towards the Sun (chicken wings and a tea-egg in the middle), Egg Fried Rice, Potato Beef, Black Mushroom Noodle, Tea-Soy Sauce Boiled Eggs, Noodles with Celery and Shrimp, Baked Salty Bites, Broccoli and Grape Salad, Baked Rolls with Icing and Jam-Jam cookies.

The winner in the category: most ingredients was certaily is the very spicy (but just mild for Tariq) chicken Biryani with 17 ingredients: rice, chicken, potato, tomato, green chilli, salt, garam masala, cumin, mint leaves, onion, yogurt, orange food color, plum, bay leaf, clove, cardamom, cinnamon. His wife said it takes only 1 hour to make! Her other dish, the Pakoray with Riata was a close contender, with 12 ingredients: gram flour, red chilli, salt, garam masala, egg, mint, onion, potato, curmin, seed, ajwain seed, home made yogurt, black pepper.

Following the tradition, we played games: Jenga, QuiVive, Sorry, and Clue. The most spectacular pictures came from Jenga, of course. Here is a taste:
